There is a special bond between women of color (primarily
Asian, Latinas, Native American and African American women)
due to the unique experiences all have had in American society.
This presentation outlines the similarities and different
experiences based on the research of the forthcoming book,
Sisters of Color authored by the speaker. Understanding the
different experiences of women of color and Caucasian women
will promote unity and healing. All women must work together
to deal with issues that affect All women.

is out of a tradition of community service and dedication
to the advancement of African Americans. In a high tech world
where media often times portrays the Greek System in a negative
light in general, African Americans in particular are impacted
most. This presentation looks at the positive and the negative
images of Black Greek Lettered Organizations and reminds members
to remember their history.

Did your Founders Haze? The Truth about
Pledging
The Founders of any Sorority or Fraternity did not pledge
and were not hazed. This workshop differs from most discussion
of hazing because it delves into the reason why people feel
the need to be hazed or to haze and the psychological implications
of such behavior.

Greekdom in Black and White
Racism is still a part of society that in many instances is
glazed over or not confronted. Members of the fraternal system
are trained to be leaders, however, racism still plays a part
of many activities or induction processes. This workshop will
look at racism on college campuses and the leadership role
the fraternal system should play in its eradication.
